Not in git, not on the site: what the family told us about living people |
- Living people stay private. Their names, dates and places go in
private/only. On the site they are “a living relative”. Deceased people can have pages. - Cite every fact. Give the record, its collection and its link. Say when a fact comes only from an index, or only from another researcher’s tree, not from the original.
- Keep what the family said apart from what the records say. Where they disagree (Flossie’s age at death, for example), say so.
- Ancestry tree: the working tree is “Glinski Family Tree” on the family’s Ancestry account (tree 213303450). People are added there once a record supports them.
